I'm looking at little "upgrades" for the other classes, whether they be new spells or skills or other bonuses. One of the side effects of this is that the Amazon is the one character whose affection you can buy. One observation from playing the game - right now, the Amazon is the only character you can buy an "upgrade" for. The Shield Maiden will still happen, just not right now. All in all, thought she would add more than the Shield Maiden would. She's more petite than the other characters, increasing the variety of body types in the game. As you might expect, she isn't as good at any of these things as characters who specialize at them. The Drow girl is a very balanced character - she does a little healing, has a nifty little "Faerie Fire" spell that makes it easier for everyone to do damage, and can hold her own from range or melee. I'm most of the way through adding a new character class, which I didn't necessarily expect to do this time around - it will not be the Shield Maiden, as originally planned, but a Drow. I wanted Dominant characters to feel a little rivalry with each other, and the more I thought about how it would work, the more I thought people would be disappointed every time it came on a magic item, both because a) it isn't as useful as the other fetishes, particularly if more than one character has it, and b) this isn't a femdom game. I've added "Dominance" as a trait, rather than a fetish. sexy times with the girls better it balances the characters a little bit, as some were virtually essential on super-long aimless adventures through the woods and others were liabilities and it alleviates what could be a tedious part of the game and it balances the dungeon with the woods and plains. This serves several purposes - it keeps the gold supply in better balance it balances adventuring vs. Part of the re-balancing is that parties will return to home base after a while of exploration. There will be more than that, as I am still a week away from release so I'm not yet in the "just testing and bug-fixing" stage of the cycle. I've made some UI improvements, done some re-balancing, added some useful traits. There is a Domina camp and a Decadent camp you can explore and get benefits if your reputation with those factions is high enough, and both are supported with some full screen renders. I've coded in new places to explore, including the Tomb, which is tougher than the 3rd level of the Dungeon and can be done for higher powered rewards than are found in most of the world and provides some more powerful magic items. Interactions with the three NPC prostitutes is a reasonable idea, I've added that to my trello board.Progress on Damsels is moving right along, on several fronts. The brothel is meant to be mildly useful, without making it so useful that players feel forced to put their girls in it if that sort of thing squicks them. If you put your adventurers into the brothel they will currently produce only mana, but starting in the next release (1.03) they will produce a combination of money and mana, depending on their proficiency as whores. One just makes you money, one just makes you mana, and the third provides some of each. The three prostitutes you buy in Orech each help you differently. The number of classes will be capped (at least for the foreseeable future) at 16 with the planned late August release of the Bard class. You can assign girls to buildings once you've built the right relationship with them and have built the appropriate buildings, and that allows you to have one girl of each class in your harem, even if you can't fit them all in your adventuring roster.
